It's the money which is normally required to make a medium-budget film. But it was spent to shoot the climax scene alone, for Vikram's next 'Rajapattai'. We learn from reliable sources that the cost of the movie's climax is somewhere between three and four crore rupees.
"Since this is the first commercial film for Vikram after a slew of off-beat ventures, director Suseenthiran and producer Prasad V Potluri wanted to present it a gala entertainer which is rich in all aspects. So they shot the climax on such a grand budget," say sources.
It is said that the climax scene was canned for more than eight days, and the output was good. "It will be the high point of the movie, which is expected to hit the screens for Christmas holidays. Vikram was all smiles after seeing the rushes," they add.
'Rajapattai' brings together Vikram and Yuvan Shankar Raja for the first time and the music is expected to be launched soon. "Yuvan, who is riding high on a success wave with back to back hits, has repeated the magic in Rajapattai. The songs are too good."
