Director Dasari Narayana Rao never misses an opportunity to appreciate his colleagues especially when their films or ideas accrue great good to the industry. Not surprisingly, he has praised the makers of Dookudu, including its director Srinu Vytla and the producers, for making a film like Dookudu with all the essential ingredients.

He feels that the stupendous success of the film bodes well for the industry in these times when it badly needed a super hit. Apparently, Dookudu's stunning BO total has benefited every stakeholder.

Dasari, who has never shied away from encouraging young heroes with a talent, termed Mahesh as a "superb performer." He did not conceal his admiration for Prince's acting prowess.

In the past, it must be noted, Dasari had similar words when Mahesh delivered a realistic performance in the 2002 blockbuster Okkadu.
