UTV Motion Pictures' 'Muran' seems to be making headlines everyday. The latest buzz doing the rounds is that the film is the first Tamil film to be shot in the Bangalore – Chennai National Highway for more than twenty days!

The Bangalore to Chennai National Highway is one of the busiest highways in South India and normally shooting is not permitted in here, to avoid any traffic issues.

However, it is said that when the producers of 'Muran' approached the highway authorities with 'Muran's script, they were quite impressed with the idea of a film happening on the highway in the beginning of the film and gave permission to shoot the film in different stretches of 3 - 5 kilometers everyday!

In fact, those who have seen the sneak preview of the film were wondering whether the film was really shot in Bangalore - Chennai Highway as the locations were looking new.

The film was shot for over 20 days in the highway and the film itself begins in the highway and travels for close to 50 minutes of the film on the highway with inter-cuts of flashbacks!

'Muran' features Cheran and Prasanna in the lead roles and is a road thriller that showcases what happens when two contradicting personalities meet one another. The film will hit the screens this September 30.
