"Though the title signifies struggle, there will be no violence in Poraali. But the scenes would make the audience feel the pain of violence," says Samuthirakani, who is back to direct his good friend Sasikumar with this film.

"Poraali is about the struggle of four individuals who later come together for a cause. The movie will show Sasikumar in a different shade. Also, Swathi is playing a character which is a straight contrast to that of Subramanyapuram," he says.

The director, who is now a popular actor too, adds: "My passion is to direct movies. But I like acting too. I will balance both the trades. And I am happy to work with Sasikumar again. Our association will continue in future too."

'Poraali', produced by Sasikumar, is getting ready to hit the screens post Diwali. Besides Sasikumar and Swathi, the film has 'Allari Naresh, Vasundhara and Nivedha in lead roles. Music is by Sundar C Babu, who has composed a 'special' kuthu song for this movie.
