It looks like director Saran has been caught off guard. There has been a lot of news lately floating around in media circles that he is doing a film with the Mega Star of Malayalam film industry, Mammootty. But the director has refuted to his film with Mammootty and called it a rumour.

Apart from having many hit films in Tamil to his credit to the likes of 'Parthen Rasithen,' 'Amarkalam,' 'Gemini' as well as 'Vasool Raja MBBS,' Saran has also directed some of the most popular faces in the Tamil film industry. The director, who began his career assisting Baba Saheib Phalke Award winner K Balachander, had recently mentioned in a television interview that he would like to do a film with Mollywood star, Mammootty.

But it looks like he was misinterpreted. The director seems to have been irked with the news floating around that he is doing a film with Mammookka and hence has cleared the air. Sources in the know have revealed that Saran is at the moment contemplating his next venture in Tamil and is in the process of penning a script.
