Yuvan Shankar Raja entered wedlock with girlfriend Shilpa at 10.20 am on Thursday. The simple ceremony on the holy Tirumala hills was attended by members from both the families, including Yuvan's father maestro Ilayaraja.

Yuvan's mother Jeeva, elder brother Karthik Raja with wife Rajee and children, sister Bhavatharini, Shilpa's parents Mohan and Mythili Mohan, Yuvan's uncle Gangai Amaran, cousins Venkat Prabhu, Premgi, Parthi Bhaskar and Vasuki Bhaskar turned up for the wedding and wished the couple.

Close friends who had attended the marriage were director Vishnuvardhan with wife Anu, Sathyajothi Thyagarajan, Subbu Panchu, Mirchi Shiva, Vaibhav and Aravindh Akash among others. Yuvan, Shilpa and other family members had the darshan of Lord Balaji after the wedding.

A reception has been arranged in Chennai later today, in which friends and colleagues in the industry are expected to turn up. It is said that the couple would leave for a foreign destination to enjoy honeymoon.
