The movie may not be a super hit. But 'Mudhal Idam' has gifted a good name to debutant director Kumaran. The filmmaker is now gearing up for his next venture, which too will be produced by a popular production house.

"It was my dream that my debut film should be produced by AVM, which has given many a hit and talent to Tamil cinema. It happened at last. My next film too will be a commercial entertainer," he says.

Elaborating, he says, "Because people who come to theatres by spending money should feel happy after watching the film. My sole aim is entertain them with my movies. I don't want to test their patience."

On Vidharth, the hero of 'Mudhal Idam', he says, "He has already proved his acting skills in Mynaa. Mudhal Idam has taken him to a new level."
