R Parthiban's Malayalam movie 'Melvilasam', directed by Madhav Ramadasan, has been selected to be screened at the Busan International Film Festival, which will be held in South Korea.

A multistarrer, 'Melvilasam' also has Suresh Gopi, Ahokan, Thalaivasal Vijay and 'Nizhalgal' Ravi playing pivotal characters. It will be screened in the 'A Window on Asian Cinema' category, one of the important sections of the event.

Parthiban, who is happy about it, says, "It is a very good movie and am proud that it has won a wonderful recognition. I have plans to release Melvilasam in Tamil, but only after the release of my upcoming film Vithagan."

'Vithagan', produced by Manickam Narayanan of Seventh Channel is directed by Parthiban himself, besides playing the lead role. It is the story of a cop, who is brainy as well as brawny.
