'Engaeyum Eppothum' is directed by debutant Saravanan and marks the debut production venture of AR Murugadoss who is co-producing this film in association with Fox Studios. The film features Jai, Saravanandh, Anjali and Ananya in the lead roles and expectations are raving high on this multi-starrer, what with the much fanfare at the star-studded audio launch of the movie.

As the title suggests, the film denotes that anything can happen anytime; including the magic of love can strike one at anytime...

The film revolves around a group of passengers traveling in two different buses, each having their own past and a reason for their travel. The most prominent among these passengers is the love track between Kathiresan (Jai), Manimegalai (Anjali) and the other between Vinay (Saravanandh) and Amudha (Ananya).

Jai and Manimegalai decide to get married and board a bus to meet Jai's parents. Meanwhile, Ananya seeks the help of a young happy- go- lucky urban guy Saravanandh to reach her destination and love blossoms between the two. They part ways and after thought and contemplation, they each board a bus to visit each other to express their feelings for one another.

However destiny has something in store for all of them, and changes their lives forever through a journey is what that forms the story of 'Engaeyum Eppothum'...
