'Nanban' that has Shankar wielding the megaphone is a multi-starrer and is Shankar's first ever remake venture. The movie is a remake of Bollywood super hit '3 Idiots' that is an adaptation from Chetan Bhagat’s novel, Five Point Someone.

Jiiva and Srikanth were recently spotted at the Koyambedu water tank in Chennai for the film's shooting that took place for about three days in here. An akila crane was used to cane these shots at the water tank which is about 200 feet tall. Birdies from the unit express that if one goes to this water tank, you get a clear cut view of the whole city!

So what was the 'Nanban' crew shooting for in this locale?

There are few important scenes in this film at this water tank, where Jiiva and Srikanth are tricked into coming here by a college mate and other scenes where the three friends, Vijay, Jiiva and Srikanth spend some quality time in here during their college days. It is also said that some of these scenes come towards the introductory part of the film.

'Nanban' is gearing up for an August release...
