Pooja, the 'Jay Jay', 'Attagasam' and 'Naan Kadavul' actress is taking a new avatar. She will be the new host of 'Jackpot', a popular game show on Jaya TV, a channel backed by the AIADMK, the ruling party of Tamil Nadu.

"Since Nadhiya, who is currently compeering the show, finds it difficult to do so, thanks to her frequent foreign trips, the producers have found Pooja, a perfect replacement for her", say sources close to the development.

"Pooja was in Bangalore when she got a call from Jaya TV. She came to Chennai and thoroughly impressed the producers with her fluent Tamil conversation. The actress is happy to host the sho", they add.

Pooja, who hails from Sri Lanka, thanks director and Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam founder Seeman for her Tamil knowledge. "It was during the shoot of Thambi I learnt Tamil from Seeman sir", she says.
