The final verdict is in. On Thursday, the sensational divorce case of Prabhu Deva and his wife Ramalath alias Latha came to an end, with the Chennai Family Court granting them divorce on mutual consent.

Granting divorce, Principal Family Court judge, TCS Raja Chokalingam recorded that the couple had agreed that they would not make any claim including maintenance and property against each other in future.

The actor-choreographer-director has paid Rs 10 lakh to Latha as permanent alimony. He also transferred a property in Anna Nagar along with two cars to her name. Prabhu Deva transferred a 22-cent land at Injambakkam village and his property at ‘Alekhyas Kaushik Meadows’ in the name of his two children.

Though both children were under his former wife's custody, the court granted Prabhu Deva the liberty to have access to them as he wished. He also agreed to bear cost of their education, marriage and other expenses in future.

Now that he is legally divorced, the dancing sensation can gear up for his marriage to Nayanthara.
