Charges continue to pour against director Bala regarding his latest offering 'Avan Ivan'. Nearly a week after the filmmaker faced allegations that he had depicted a 'Jameen' in bad light in the film, another complaint has now been lodged with the Madurai Collector and Police.

Functionaries of Indian National League (INL) lodged a complaint with the Madurai District Collector and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) to take action against Bala for his objectionable remarks against 'Kurbani' in 'Avan Ivan'.

In their memorandum to District Collector U Sagayam, INL activists led by State convening secretary Seeni Ahamed said that the director had made objectionable remarks against 'Kurbani', a holy practice observed by Muslims, in 'Avan Ivan'.

Expressing fear that the particular scene might create law and order problem in the State, the INL office-bearers demanded action against Bala and his team. They also urged that the bjectionable scenes should be deleted from the film.
