The all-time hit film of the thespian NTR, ‘Lava Kusa’ with Anjalidevi playing the role of Sita and NTR playing the Lord Rama, is being remade now as ‘Srirama Rajyam’ under the direction of Bapu.

Mullapudi Venkataramana, who passed away recently had penned the script and dialogues for the movie. The film is being produced by Yalamanchi Saibabu on the banner of Sri Sai Baba Movies.

The shooting of the film is going on a brisk pace now though it faced some hurdles and hiccups some time ago. The latest information says, the unit is planning to wrap up the shooting by June 28. Earlier, it was thought that the film would be released somewhere during September.

However, the unit had second thoughts and preponed the release date to August. The audio of the film is most likely to be out by the end of July.

The film will be a multi-starrer with Akkineni Nageswara Rao as Valmiki, Srikanth as Lakshmana, Saikumar as Bharatha, AVS as Narada, Dharasingh as Hanuman, Muaralimohan as Janaka, Jayasudha as Bhoodevi, KR Vijaya as Kousalya and Brahmanandam will be seen as Chakali Tippadu role in the film.

Ilayaraja is wielding the baton for music for this movie.
