Actor Karthi is one lucky man this year, firstly, his movie ‘Siruthai’ was a box-office hit where his dual avatars as Rathnavel and Rocket Raja was an immediate hit among the young and fetched him much critical acclaim.

Secondly, he will be entering wedlock with Ranjani Chinnaswamy early July, breaking the hearts of many of his fans.

Now the Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Karthi will be acting under Gautham Menon’s direction. Gautham is busy up North with the Hindi version of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ and Karthi is busy with his ‘Saguni.’

It is said that after the duo finish with their commitments they will join hands with this yet-to-be-titled project. Our birdies also say that Gautham narrated the script to Karthi and the latter was deeply impressed with it and gave his nod. Gautham Menon is currently looking for a producer for the film.

Gautham Menon’s last, ‘Nadunisi Naaygal’ didn’t fair too well at the box-office, probably because of its disturbing psychopathic side, so we’re sure Gautham will want to come back with a bang to recover this.

So can we say this project will repeat the magic between Gautham and Karthi’s elder brother Suriya, that is to say, ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ and ‘Vaaranam Ayiram’? Only time will tell the tale.
