Well Tamil and Telugu films go hand in hand when it comes to dubbing while few Telugu films are dubbed in Tamil there are quite a lot of Tamil films that get a good reception with the Telugu audience. The latest film to join this team is 'Dhaam Dhoom' which is getting dubbed in to Telugu as 'Rakshakudu.'

'Dhaam Dhoom' is a fast-paced entertainer with romance interwoven in it. This film is the brain child of late director Jeeva, who passed away from Russia while the filming was going on. The film had 'Jayam' Ravi and Bollywood babe Kangana Ranaut playing the lead with Lakshmi Rai essaying a pivotal character.

The songs in the film garnered more attention and fame than the film it self. The story deal with how a young doctor from India leaves for Russia to attend a conference and the sequences that lead him to spend time in an abandoned and unknown jail in an unknown land! This film was also a turning point in the way Jayaram's character was etched out. He got good reviews for doing a negative role in the film.

Although the songs were chartbusters, the movie didn't fair too well in here. Whether it will do well among Telugu folks, we'll have to wait to know.
