Happy about the response her character and performance in the multistarrer ‘Vaanam’ have evoked, Sonia Agarwal, who has just started her second innings in Kollywood, has signed a new project.

Titlted ‘Matha, Pitha, Guru’, the film will be directed by Ramesh with a new face acting opposite Sonia. The movie is about child abuse and the actress has a meaty role to play, sources say.

“Sonia appears in three different roles in ‘Matha, Pitha, Guru’ as an investigative television journalist, a saint and a woman with negative shades. The whole script revolves around her,” they say further.

Says the actress, who started her career with ‘Kadhal Kondaen’, “I am keen at signing new projects which would provide me enough opportunity to prove myself. The response to ‘Vaanam’ is very encouraging.”
