Writer duo Suba (Suresh and Bala) has a huge fan following among Tamil novel readers. Not just their detective stories, but some of their fictional characters (Narein, Vyjayanthi, Ramadoss, Selva, Murugesan etc) too are hugely popular.

The longtime friends are now striking gold in Tamil cinema, by scripting hit movies like ‘Kana Kandein’, ‘Ayan’ and ‘Ko’. Their association with cinematographer-director K V Anand is a major reason behind this.

Now that their recent venture ‘Ko’ being declared as a blockbuster, Suba are looking forward for the release of ‘180’, which too has script by this celebrated writers. But this time it is a love story.

“Suba are not well versed at detective and thriller novels alone. Their love stories too had received huge appreciation. So they are hopeful of repeating the magic in ‘180’, which is directed by ad filmmaker Jayendra,” say sources.
