“I will never use another music composer’s song. Even If I am working in the remake of a hit movie, I will say no to remixes,” says Harris Jayaraj, the hot and happening music director of Kollywood.

With songs from ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ and ‘Ko’ topping the charts already, the musician has more reasons to smile. “I sincerely believe originality alone will stand. Nothing else will.”

He adds: “Even in Nanban, which is inspired by Bollywood hit ‘3 Idiots’, we have not opted for any remixes. All the six songs are fresh and we have not used not even one Hindi tune.’

On ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ and ‘Ko’, he says, “Directors Prabhu Deva and K V Anand encouraged me to try new things and the output was so good. I am happy that audience have received both the albums well.”
