R K Selvamani is back after a long break. The director known for making films on ‘controversial knots’ is at it again. He will soon start a movie titled ‘Akila’, which will throw light on international terrorism.

It is said that there would be no conventional hero or heroine in this film, which would revolve around a child, whose name is Akila. “A gripping thriller, it would be narrated in a racy way,” sources say.

The highlight of the film would be a crucial role to be played an Uzbekistan model, we learn. “In all probability, Akila, an intense thriller that it is, would not have any songs in it,” sources further say.

A popular filmmaker known for movies such as ‘Pulan Visaranai’, ‘Captain Prabhakaran’ ‘Makkal Aatchi’, and ‘Arasiyal’, Selvamani married Roja a decade ago. He took a break from filmmaking since he found himself busy dealing with issues related to directors’ association.
