There were reports that Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming film to be directed by Selvaraghavan is heavily inspired by Ridley Scott’s ‘Hannibal’, with certain changes to the original script to suit to the Tamil audience.

However, a reliable source who is very close to the unit tells us that the movie is based on original script. “The film is completely original. We are clueless from where these reports start,” says the source.

“Though some earlier movies of Kamal had shades of Hollywood, the actor always believes in original scripts. And this is what he is doing for his forthcoming venture too. It was a strong and stunning script.”

Selvaraghavan, who is thrilled about working with the ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ for the first time, is set to start the shoot soon. Bollywood beauty Sonakshi Sinha has been roped in as heroine. “It is a privilege working with Kamal,” she says.
