Director Vijay may be doubtful over the title of his forthcoming film starring Vikram. But one thing is sure about the movie, whose title could either be ‘Pitha’ or ‘Dheivamagan’, that Y Gee Mahendra would do an important role.

The veteran actor, who is a popular dramatist too, is playing heroine Anushka’s father in the film which is fast taking shape. And the character comes with a twist towards the end of the movie.

Mahendra, it should be said, has started a fresh and powerful innings in Kollywood after his doctor-dad role in Mysskin’s ‘Yudham Sei’. His character was a surprise to the audience, who otherwise saw him in soft roles.

At present, the actor is part of films such as Dhanush-starrer ‘Venghai’, Mammootty’s Malayalam venture ‘Doubles’ and a Tamil flick titled ‘Puthiran’. He is also planning to stage his hit drama ‘Paritchaikku Neramachu’.
