Playing ‘powerful roles’ is like child’s play for Dr Rajasekhar. The doctor-turned-actor, who enacted many such characters in the past in Tollywood and Kollywood as well, is at it again.

He is currently playing the role of a police officer in ‘Maakali’, a film directed by his wife Jeevitha, who is a popular yesteryear heroine. A bilingual, the movie is titled ‘Mahankali’ in Telugu.

“I am donning the khaki uniform after a long gap. The film throws light on various civic problems, which is affecting today’s society in a big way. It will be a different film,” Rajasekhar says with hope.

The actor, who says the film would hit the screens at the earliest, adds: “Though I made my acting debut in Tamil, I became popular in Andhra Pradesh. I would like to act in both the languages.”
