Director Radha Mohan is not bothered about the fact that his forthcoming movie ‘Payanam’ and the recent Malayalam film ‘Kandahar’ are about the same theme- flight hijack.

“Because my story and treatment are totally different. I in fact met Major Ravi (director of ‘Kandahar’) when he was planning the movie for a few clarifications on commando operations,” Radha Mohan says.

Produced by Prakash Raj’s newly floated production house Silent Movies, ‘Payanam’ has Nagarjuna playing a commando, who rescues passengers of a hijacked flight. Prakash Raj plays a bureaucrat who negotiates with terrorists.

“Payanam will be totally different from my earlier ventures,” says the ‘Mozhi’ and ‘Abhiyum Naanum’ director, adding: “It is a different experience shooting for the film. Thanks to Nagarjuna for having immense faith on me.”
