Oviya was on her way to the top slot after her debut film 'Kalavani' became one of the super hits of last year. She signed some interesting films like 'Sevanu' directed by Jeevan and a film with a poetic title 'Agam Nee.. Mugam Naan' directed by debutante Saravanan.

But what she thought her dream offer came when she was signed for 'Manmadhan Ambu' for a cameo with Kamal Haasan. But she went almost un-noticed in the multi starrer with a miniscule role.

While her Tamil career is going up rather leisurely, Oviya's position in other languages is growing more steadily. She is soon to snatch title of Remake Rani from Genelia.

Oviya after starring in the Kannada remake of 'Kalavani' is playing the role again in the Telugu remake. The Telugu version will also be directed by Pradeep Raj who directed Kannada.

After Tamil and Kannada, now it’s Telugu. Will Oviya do the Hindi remake also? Only Gautham Menon who has the Hindi remake rights will be able to tell.
