The strict disciplinarian S Narayan has asked his son Pankaj to come via audition test for the selection to the hero spot in ‘Dushta’ shows the policies the director maintains.

After a thorough search director S Narayan was able to get hold of 20 plus stage artists for various character roles and he was not able to decide on the hero. At this time someone close to S Narayan reminded him why another chance is not possible for his son Pankaj.

S Narayan called his son and asked to take up the audition test for ‘Dushta’ in the presence of 100 plus. Then he sought the opinion from all. It was positive and then he explained the role Pankaj has to perform.

Pankaj is already three films experienced actor yet he had to come through the screen test of his father S Narayan for his role in ‘Dushta’. Pankaj made debut in ‘Veeru’ and later as full fledge hero in ‘Chaitrada Chandrama’. He was paired with Amoolya in that film. Another film was ‘Cheluvina Chilipili’ with Roopika.

In ‘Dushta’ his father S Narayan is seeing his long time old friend in him. With rotten clothes and rugged looks Panjak already participated in 20 days shoot. It is a different role and very appealing he says. The village style of Kannada diction Pankaj has practiced for dubbing. It is a very hard character and different from previous three films of mine opine Pankaj.
