National Award winning actress Priyamani has clarified that she never did a film for the sake of winning awards and accolades. “But I am happy when my performance gets recognised,” she said.

“At the same time, awards some time leave an image on me that I am fit for a particular type of role only. For example, I am yet to come out of Paruthiveeran image in Kollywod,” she said.

Saying that there is nothing wrong in doing glamour roles, the actress said, “its part of the profession. All actresses are ready for it these days. But there should be a limit for everything.”

Laughing at gossips on her, Priyamani said, “I am an outspoken girl. This trait of me often results in gossips that I am in affair with some actor or the other. I am clear about my priorities and acting tops the list now.”
