After ‘Paiyaa’ and ‘Naan Mahan Alla’, Karthi is ready to shine again with ‘Siruthai’. The movie releases on Pongal day but songs from the movie would start attracting the audience from next week.

The music album of the film, composed by Vidyasagar, will be released at a function in Chennai on December 19. “Siruthai will mark the comeback of Vidyasagar. It is a wholesome album,” sources claim.

Top lyricists of Tamil cinema, Na Muthukumar, Pa Vijay, Arivumathi and Viveka, have penned lyrics for tunes composed by Vidyasagar. “There are melody, kuthu, romance and folk in Siruthai CD,” sources maintain.

Produced by K E Gnanavelraja for Studio Green, ‘Siruthai’, a remake of Tollywood blockbuster ‘Vikramarkudu’, is directed by Siva. Tamannah plays the heroine while Karthi does a dual role, that of a thief and a police officer.
