Ajith's 50th film 'Mankatha' has begun its second schedule of shooting in Chennai yesterday. The slick gangster saga starring Ajith, Arjun, Trisha and Vaibhav was launched in September and since then is one of the most expected films of 2011.

The first schedule of the film was completed last month in Bangkok where director Venkat Prabhu shot the opening song ‘Vilayadu Mankatha’ with all the majors stars.

‘Mankatha’ is a high worth production by Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies. It is also a multi starrer in its real sense after a very long time in Tamil. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the hit music director of ‘Mankatha’. This is the fourth film in the combination of Ajith and Yuvan.

The film will be a style and substance thriller happening around an IPL cricket series and is planned for release on May 1, which incidentally is the birth day of Ajith.
