‘Mayilu’ is one of the long pending production ventures of Prakash Raj, which is getting ready for a release now. The film is directed by Jeevan, who is a cinematographer too.

Says Jeevan, who started his career in cinema as a still photographer, “Mayilu is a beautiful story which will live up to the expectations of a Prakash Raj production venture. It will be full of realism.”

Jeevan, who had earlier directed ‘Gnabagangal’, and currently busy with ‘Amara’ says, “I have worked as a cinematographer in films like Kokki, Thoothukudi and Nenjirukkum Varai. The subject of ‘Mayilu’ is something very close to my heart.”

He adds: “I love traveling in both boats- direction and cinematography. Each and every profession has its own challenges and I love facing them.” Interestingly, Jeevan’s younger brother is Sukumar, who cranked camera for the recent release ‘Mynaa’.
