Veteran actor Sathyaraj and some popular filmmakers called on director and Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam movement leader Seeman at the Vellore Central Prison on Thursday.

Seeman was lodged in the jail after he was arrested under National Security Act (NSA) for making 'pro Tamil remarks'. Those called on the director included Ameer, Vikraman, Gouthaman, R K Selvamani, R Sundrarajan and Manivannan, reports claimed.

After meeting Seeman, Sathyaraj said they called on the filmmaker as friends and shared his sentiments. "We complimented Seeman for his excellent performance in 'Magizhchi', directed by Gouthaman," Sathyaraj said.

Sathyaraj however refused to comment, when asked about UPA chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi expressing concern over the rehabilitation of Sri Lankan Tamils still living in relief camps.
