‘Singam’ goes to Bollywood

After the success of the Rajini style police story ‘Dabbang’, Bollywood is looking towards south India which has generated a lot of cop stories in recent times. The first one to catch the eyes of Bollywood is the super hit ‘Singam’ starring Suriya and Anushka.

‘Singam’ is being remade in Hindi by Reliance Big Pictures with Ajay Devgan playing the tough cop. It will be directed by Rohiti Shetty of Golmal series fame. The project will start rolling in February next year.

The Tamil film ‘Singam’ was produced by K E Gnanavel Raja and Reliance Big Pictures and was released by Sun Pictures. Superlative performance by Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Prakash Raj under the effective baton of Hari made the film a runaway success.
