Though ‘Rowthiram’, a film starring Jeeva in lead role, is a ‘commercial attempt’ targeted at all sections of the audience, the role Shriya Saran plays in the film is not similar to the one we get to see in ‘masala’ movies.

“As far as ‘Rowthiram’ is concerned, Shriya is not the typical heroine who romances the hero and vanishes. She has got a meaty role which is filled with suspense,” sources confirm.

“Debutant director Gokul, a former assistant to Telugu filmmaker Suryakiran, has shaped up Shriya’s role in such a powerful way. ‘Rowthiram’ has got all qualities to become one of the important movies in the actress’s career.”

Produced by R B Chowdary’s Super Good Films, this home project of Jeeva is fast taking shape. “If everything goes as planned, ‘Rowthiram’ will hit the screens at the end of the first quarter of 2011, as a perfect summer treat,” add sources.
