Superstar Rajinikanth, in an unpublicised gesture, has given a pleasant surprise to police personnel at Teynampet and Kodambakkam stations, by presenting them special Deepavali gifts.

If sources are to be believed, the top actor has gifted a packet to each policeman in both the stations, which had a shirt and a pant material, a sari, assorted crackers and a box of sweets.

“Rajini has chosen the two stations because his Poes Garden residence falls under the jurisdiction of Teynampet police and his Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam under the Kodambakkam police,” sources say.

“The gifts were given to 20 policemen at the Teynampet station and 25 police personnel at the Kodambakkam station. All of them were extremely happy since the gift parcel is from the Superstar,” they add.
