'Knock Out' releases all over today and while the promos have finally managed to catch up with the audience at just the right time, it is now also been known to one and all that pretty girl Kangna plays the role of a crime journalist in the film.
While it may seem that the film is primarily centred on the two main protagonists - Sanjay Dutt and Irrfan Khan - in this Mani Shankar directed affair, the fact is that Kangna too has an important part to play in the narrative. So much so that amidst all the action surrounding her, she too found herself staring at death in one of the key sequences in the film.
Remembers Kangna, "There was a scene where a car was supposed to fly into the air and land back on the ground. Instead it caught fire and came spinning super fast in my direction. Somehow we all managed to hop out of the way in a split second reaction but it was a scary moment for sure."
Though it was an instant reaction that saved her life, Kangna is happy to extract a positive out of it that helped her relate to the character of a crime journalist even better.
"Well, I got a real sense of the urgency and drama of crime reporting first hand through that incident. Now I know how much trouble that these journalists go through in their day to day job. Hats off to them", she signs off with admiration in her voice.
