The music of 'Uthamaputhiran', a film starring Dhanush and Genelia in lead roles, will be launched in Chennai on Tuesday. A remake of Telugu hit 'Ready', the movie is directed by Mithran R Jawahar.

Dhanush and Jawahar share a very good rapport. The director, who is a former associate of Dhanush's brother Selvaraghavan, has worked with the actor earlier in 'Yaaradi Nee Mohini' and 'Kutty'.

"The movie is a mix of action, romance and sentiments", he says and adds: "Vijay Antony has come out with a collection of beautiful songs. His music is one of the important highlights of the film".

The Telugu original directed by Sreenu Vaitla featured Ram and Genelia in the lead roles. “There was a huge demand for the remake rights of the movie. Thank the Almighty, we won the bid", say 'Uthamaputhiran' producers Mohan Apparao and T Ramesh.
