Anaka aka Amala, the heroine of ‘Mynaa’, gave raise to many an eyebrow by not taking part in the audio launch of the film, a grand event attended by who’s who of Tamil cinema (including Kamal Haasan) in Chennai on Thursday.

While some said that the up and coming actress was not feeling well, others said that ‘Mynaa’ director Prabhu Solomon was not happy with her role in ‘Sindhu Samaveli’, following which she decided to stay away from the function.

However, the actress has come out with an explanation now, saying that she was unable to mark her presence at the audio launch due to her university examinations. “This is the only reason,” she said.

“I badly wanted to attend the function. But I couldn’t because of the exams,” she said and added: “I have no problems with Prabhu Solomon and thanks to him, I have lived like Mynaa, the name of my character in the film.”
