“It has been a long time since I acted in an action movie. ‘Vettai Mannan’ will fill the gap,” says Silambarasan, who is all geared up to start his new venture, to be directed by his longtime associate Nelson.

“Nelson has been working with me right from ‘Manmadhan’ days. He was there when I made ‘Vallavan’ and we worked together for a dance show too. When he came up with a racy subject, I grabbed it,” says the actor.

Silambarasan, who recently changed his name as STR, says: “Vettai Mannan will be an action extravaganza with romance and comedy in ample doses. We are planning to rope in a few Hollywood artistes, including an actress.”

Denying reports that the title resembles ‘Vettai’, Lingusamy’s forthcoming film with Arya in which he was supposed to act, Silambarasan says, “we decided this title long back. We initially wanted to name the film ‘Vettaiyan’ but zeroed in on ‘Vettai Mannan’ finally.”
