The name of the character Narain playing in ‘Thambikkottai’ is Azhagiri. “But there is no political significance. The director opt it since it is a beautiful Tamil name”, says the actor, who is eagerly expecting the film’s release.

“The entire script revolves around Azhagiri and his friends, who are college students. They come to a village called Thambikkottai as part of their NSS activities. What follows is a twist”, the ‘Anjathey’ actor says.

Describing the movie’s director Ammu Ramesh as a talented filmmaker, Narain says, “He is gifted with great narration skills which you would notice once the movie is released. The screenplay is so interesting”.

On acting with three heroines- Poonam Bhajwa, Meena and Sangeetha- he says, “All three are so cooperative. While Poonam plays my lover interest in this film, Meena is my sister while Sangeetha plays a role with negative shades.”
