Rubbing shoulders with top guns is not a new thing to Madhavan. In ‘Anbe Sivam’ and in the upcoming ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, his co-star is Kamal Haasan, while in ‘Teen Patti’ he shared the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.

But the actor is not getting overawed about it. “Some people put these stalwarts on a pedestal. This alienates them from others. As a result, hardly one would talk to them on the sets. The veterans themselves don’t like this”.

Saying that Kamal and Amitabh would go out of their way to make others working with them feel comfortable, Madhavan adds: “As a thorough professional, one should not have any hesitation or fear to work with the veterans”.

“When your mind is focussed and your attention is on the role you are playing, where is the time to think about them”, Madhavan asks, adding that “Kamal sir is my favourite actor and acting in a film like ‘Nayagan’ is my dream.”
