Aishas gain, Love Sex Aur Dhokas loss

In the industry of entertainment someones loss becomes another persons gain. The same holds true for debutant actor Amrita Puri. She is an amchi Mumbai mulgi who will soon be seen in Anil Kapoor Productions Aisha. She plays the character of Harriet Smith from Jane Austens book Emma. Prior to 'Aisha', Amrita has been a part of many Ads as a model.
But what many arent aware is that this fresh face girls first brush with stardom would have been in Dibankar Banerjees Love Sex Aur Dhoka. Recalling her initial days, Amrita said, I had auditioned for Aisha and bagged the role. Soon after that I auditioned for LSD because I knew that Dibakar was directing it and I really wanted to work with him. I gave the audition and forgot about it because I thought I had not done a great job. I tend to be very critical of myself. I finalized my dates for Aisha. Then to my surprise Dibakar liked my audition and I got selected LSD too (the role which eventually was played by Shruti). Like the saying goes when it rains it pours. Unfortunately the dates for both the films were clashing and I had to pass on LSD.
I tried sorting out the dates but it was just not possible. I hope to work with Dibankar in the future. I have heard great things about him from Abhay Deol who is my co-star in Aisha, added Amrita excitedly.
Will Love Sex Aur Dhokas loss become Aishas gain, only time will tell? Guess we will have to wait till the release of the film Aisha.
