Reacting to reports that his forthcoming film ‘Aravaan’ has an element of black magic in the story, director Vasantha Balan has said the script is not about black magic but something else.

“The movie is set in the 18th century. My last venture ‘Angadi Theru’ has given me freedom to try new things. So I am doing it with ‘Aravaan’. It is a story which is totally new to Tamil cinema,” the ‘Veyil’ director says.

The filmmaker, who says he and his team are taking efforts to ensure that the film would do a magic at the box office, adds: “because, bringing people to theatres and making them watching a movie with all interest is no easy task these days.”

On the lead actors of ‘Aravaan’, he says, “I am impressed with Aadhi’s looks since he is fit for any kind of role. Dhanshika did a commendable performance in ‘Peranmai’ while Mollywood’s Archana Kavi is a talented actress.”
