These are the days when films are named in Tamil thanks to the tax exemption given by the State government. However, giving rise to many an eyebrow, director Jeevan started his new project ÂSevanu a few days ago.
And now, he has come out with an explanation that it is no English title meaning the number ÂsevenÂ. ÂIt is a Tamil word used colloquially in the Madurai region that I come from, the director says.
Adding more, he says, ÂSevanu actually means Lord Siva. At some parts in Madurai, He is informally referred as Sevenu. The movie is about a youngster who starts a trip from Madurai to Chennai.Â
Saying the film revolves around the incidents that happen during the travel, Jeevan says Amaran and ÂKalavani fame Oviya play the lead roles. ÂThe audience could relate the film to the incidents happened in their lives, he concludes.
