Watch Now - 'Madrasapattinam' Movie Trailer

‘Madrasapattinam’ is a period film set in the 1940s of colonial India to promote the film the director and producer have come out with innovative trailers which is hilarious and at the same time will urge you catch the movie when it releases on July 9.

Director Vijay has chosen some events and symbols of the British India and has woven it with a current setting.

In one a hip girl at the bus stop listening to A R Rahman is surprised to see a procession of freedom fighters raising slogans of ‘Quit India’. In another a woman is robbed and she shouts for police help. What comes is a band of colonial policemen offering to help. In the other a tea shop radio announces the arrival of Mahatma Gandhi in Madaras and trams resuming after a bandh. And there are more.

‘Madrasapattinam’ is a film by AGS Entertainment who made super hits like ‘Santhosh Subramaniam’ and ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’. It is directed by Vijay, who is reckoned with ‘Kireedom’ and ‘Poi Solla Porom’. The film starrs Arya, Amy Jackson, Nasser and others.

Highly creative these trailers are that they will surely pull you to the theaters. When trailers are so novel will the film be any different. Remember. The day is July 9.
