First Singaporean Tamil movie screening in Chennai

Singapore Film Commission and Blue River Pictures will have a gala premiere of ‘Gurushetram, 24 Hours Of Anger’ - The First Singaporean Tamil movie on 18th and 19th June at the AVM Preview Theatre in Chennai. The movie ran successfully for a month in Singapore despite just 7% of the population being Tamil speaking.

Directed by T T Dhavamanni ‘Gurushetram’ chronicles the trials and tribulations of Prakash and how he overcomes several obstacles in the mission to protect his mentally challenged brother. The film stars Vishnu, Sivakumar, Mathialagan, Rajesh Kannan, Gunalan and many others.

Behind the scenes, T T Dhavamani collaborated with many of his long-time associates, including European director of photography Lucas Jodogne (The Maid, Eating Air), production designer Veeraraghavan, and editor Praveen KL (Goa, Kandasamy, Saroja). The original score is by Jaggubhai fame Rafee.
