Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai - Stills

There’s nothing more fascinating then the ‘bhais’ and Bollywood. Sundar Shekhar Mirza, the son of the Mumbai’s ganglord Haji Mastan has sent a legal notice to the Balaji Telefilms and Milan Luthria for making a biopic on his father, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.’

This is not the first time that the underworld has sent notice to filmmakers for making biopic on them. When Mahesh Bhatt made the biopic on Abu Salem, ‘Gangster’, Abu had also sent a legal notice to the filmmaker for making the film without his consent.

A close hand reveals that Mirza’s notice challenges the production company’s rights to make a film on is father without the late gangster’s family’s consent.

According to sources Haji Mastan was very much involved with Bollywood as his money was involved in films produced during his regime. Legally, he was the producer and distributor in ‘Mere Garib Nawaz’.
