It is remaking of a Kannada film of the yesteryears! The 20 years old subject ‘Raani Maharaani’ in a rehashed style with the title ‘Naa Raani Nee Maharani’ in which Pooja Gandhi plays the double role of what yesteryears heartthrob Malashri has done.

20 years ago ‘Raani Maharani’ was produced by actor Jai Jagdeesh in the direction of B Ramamurthy. Malashri starred ala ‘Seetha Aur Geetha’ style with Ambarish and Shashikumar. Now the same director B Ramamurthy is taking up the film in the home banner of his brother Sathyanarayana.

The film ‘Raani Maharani’ was a super hit film earned more than one crore profit for the producer Jai Jagdeesh in those days. It was the peak period of actress Malashri.

Popular actress Pooja Gandhi is in double in ‘Naa Raani Nee Maharani’. Akshay – Preethi Nee Shaswathana hero and director B Ramamurthy son are in the lead roles. “It is my dream project. It is honor to do what Malashri Madam has done. Proved hit film is coming again in a new style”, says Pooja.

Vinayachandra son of veteran journalist Suresh Chandra is scoring music for the debut film with good background of music. The song ‘Kugo Kolige….Kaara Masale…’ will be retained in this film.
