We heard some time back that Silambarasan would play the lead role in Mani Ratnam’s next. Buzz is now that Rajkiran too would be a part of the project which would go on floors post Raavanan’s release.

“Though Mani and Rajkiran come from different schools, the director is often appreciative of the actor’s performance while the actor is a great admirer of movies directed by Mani. Both are coming together now,” sources say.

They add: “Rajkiran’s role in the film is so different and it would be first time for the actor to do such a character. Likewise, Silambarasan’s role too would be a straight contrast to the ones he did earlier.”

Sources also maintain that the movie would be a bilingual to be simultaneously made in Hindi and Tamil. “While Vivek Oberoi would play the protagonist in the Bollywood version, Silambarasan would replace him in Tamil.”
