These are the times actresses want to establish themselves as ‘hot properties’. However, Divya Spandana seems to be a straight contrast to the trend, for she says she never wanted to be a symbol of glamour.

“I feel bad when someone says I look glamorous and hot. I don’t like others remembering me as a mere glamdoll. I would appreciate when someone hail my performance in the films I act. This is what I expect from my fans,” she says.

Denying reports that she is wearing skimpy costumes in Kannada movies, Divya says, “to be frank, it was in Tamil films I appeared in glamorous attires. Most of my Sandalwood films portrayed me a girl next door.”

Claiming Nayantara and Trisha as her good friends, the actress, who is a close relative of External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, says, “we three discuss a lot of personal things whenever we find time. I value our friendship.”
