If it was Tamannah to clear the air last week by saying there is nothing personal between Karthi and her, it is now the turn of the ‘Paiyaa’ protagonist to echo his co-star’s words. “I love cinema, not Tamannah,” he says with a mischievous smile.

“Though it may sound clichéd, the truth is that we are good friends and nothing more than that exists between us. We both have a passion for cinema and would like to scale great heights in our careers. So there is no way to fall in love,” says the actor.

Showering praises on Tamannah, Karthi says, “She is a thorough professional and a focused artiste. It’s great that I am going to work with her again, for the Tamil remake of Telugu super hit Vikramarkudu.”

Going down the memory lane, the younger brother of Suriya says, “to be frank, I have never fallen in love. My education was in a boys school and I always wanted to make it big in cinema, inspired by my brother and father.”
